SOLVAY Business School, Bruxelles
A graduate of the Solvay Business School in Belgium, I arrived in Paris in 2001 and the IS route quickly became an obvious one for me.
As a new recruit at ORESYS, I took my first steps as a consultant in the banking sector. Any language problems were quickly resolved thanks to the polyglot skills of my French colleagues. Between file covers, post-it notes and other new discoveries, the language of consultancy and IS naturally became a new way of thinking.
This is where ORESYS’s true strength lies: the resources it uses to enable all the consultants to acquire the necessary skills quickly and efficiently, in particular through the many training courses it offers to consultants, seminars on ORESYS methods and rapid integration into the operational teams.
Development within ORESYS is also very important and regular monitoring is carried out in order to ensure that the consultant’s level matches their objectives and personal expectations. This brings considerable flexibility, both at a professional and personal level. Allocation of consultants to the different assignments is done on the basis of various parameters, maximising the benefits for both the consultant and the client.
During my five years at ORESYS, I have moved from the banking sector into industry and insurance. The areas I have worked in have been relatively varied, starting with acceptance testing, followed by assistance with contracting, managing ORESYS teams and external teams, development, studies for restructuring operational units etc.
It’s not easy to summarise five years’ work in a few lines, but if I had to describe my development at ORESYS, I would say that it has been both varied and enriching, in a motivational setting with a genuine sharing of consultancy knowledge.
Today the prospects are even wider, as consultancy is an evolving sector, presenting new challenges every day.
