Initially, when I was asked to write about my experience at ORESYS, I wondered why. Soon I remembered that the consultants' stories were one of the first things I looked at on the website at the very beginning of the recruitment process and that I found it important to see feedback on the diverse experiences of the different consultants. So I’m pleased to have the opportunity to share my own experiences.
With regard to the recruitment process, having experienced this several times in different sectors, I believe it gives you a good idea of the culture and atmosphere of a company. This was certainly why I decided to come and work for ORESYS.
I should perhaps explain a little. Naturally, ORESYS is not the only consultancy firm that offers varied assignments (mapping, decision-making, project management etc.) in sectors ranging from industry to banking, via the public sector. But in addition to all that, ORESYS does everything it can to make sure its consultants are happy on a daily basis. The focus is on the human element and this can be seen in its recruitment process, which is completely “atypical”. The three successive interviews are conducted by ORESYS managers who make sure, among other things, that you and ORESYS are compatible on a human level, in the long term.
Since I made my choice, I have never regretted it and never had the impression that I had been misled about the life of an ORESYS consultant. The principle of team work with the client is based on collaboration, mutual assistance and coaching. The assignments enable you to make progress in your career, without impacting adversely on your personal life. The coach is there to listen to you.
From a personal point of view, after being on a relatively long assignment in a team of four people, I have just been allocated to two parallel assignments. This new challenge, which I requested, will mean that I have the chance to meet other consultants, other clients, and experience other environments, which will enrich me professionally.
